So welcome to my very first blog.

As some of you may know I recently sold my first book, My Love Eternal, to Lyrical Press (http://www.lyricalpress.com/).  Expect it to be available in the next 12-18 months.  So, as you can imagine, I am elated, overwhelmed, nervous and hopeful.  I have always wanted to be a writer, and now that I'm on my way I can hardly believe it!!

I want to give a HUGE thanks to Renee and Frank Rocco of Lyrical Press, for taking the chance on me as a new writer!  I appreciate it more than I can ever express.  These people are warm, helpful, and very supportive and I couldn't ask for a better place for my novel to be published.  Additional thanks to all the staff there and to my new editor, Nerine Dorman!  I am very honoured to be working with all of you.

I also want to give a big shout-out to my friend and fellow author, David McAfee http://mcafeeland.wordpress.com).  I met David through the Absolute Write website ( a great place for all writers to check out) and he agreed to beta read My Love Eternal for me.  He was wonderful!  I appreciate his blunt honesty, writing/editing talent and his wit, all of which helped to get my novel intothe best possible shape!  Sometime the comments stung and sometimes I about fell off my chair laughing-but I always knew that they were given with the best possible intent.  In addition, David has been a support, sounding board, advice-giver and friend.  I know I've told you this before, but you rock David! Now I am in a flurry of editing and other pre-publishing procedures,and blogs after this may be sporadic.  Anything new, and i'll let you know.  Keep an eye out for an upcoming interview with David!
